The supermarket giant Edeka is recalling two minced meat products for preventive consumer protection.
The articles in question were for sale in eight federal states at Edeka and Marktkauf.
Rheinstetten - Edeka Südwest is making a public appeal to its customers.
The reason: Consuming two minced meat products can damage your health.
As Edeka announced in a press release, the following items that were sold at Edeka and Marktkauf are affected by the recall:

As Edeka writes, “it cannot be ruled out that there are blue foreign plastic objects in individual packs of the relevant use-by date”.
Depending on their size and condition, foreign bodies can lead to cuts and stab wounds in the mouth and throat.
The risk of suffocation cannot be ruled out either.
Edeka Südwest points out that other consumption data and other articles of the Hofglück and EDEKA Bio brands are not affected.
The recall takes place for reasons of "preventive consumer protection".

According to Edeka Südwest, the minced meat products affected found their way onto the shelves in eight federal states.
The supermarket giant notes that Hofglück minced meat in "Baden-Württemberg, Saarland and parts of Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and the parts of Bavaria bordering Baden-Württemberg were mainly for sale at EDEKA and Marktkauf".
The supermarket chain offered Edeka Bio Bioland minced meat in addition to the above-mentioned federal states in parts of Lower Saxony, Thuringia and North Rhine-Westphalia.

Recall: Edeka and Marktkauf reimburse the purchase price even without a receipt
According to their own statements, the affected trading companies reacted immediately and withdrew the affected products from sale.
Customers who bought the minced meat items can return them to the checkout of an Edeka or Marktkauf branch.
The food company reimburses the purchase price even without presenting the receipt.
