With the signing of the order by President Solinas, Sardinia is the first white area of Italy.

In the rest of the country, as underlined by the president of the Conference of the Regions Stefano Bonaccini, March looks difficult: contagions on the rise, schools closed since elementary school even in the orange zone.

Restaurants open until 11pm, bars and pubs until 9pm and curfew that slides from 10pm to 11.30pm until 5am.

These are the main measures in force from today until March 15 in Sardinia (excluding areas prohibited by mayors' ordinances), the first Region of Italy passed into the white zone, and provided for in the ordinance adopted late in the evening by the governor Christian Solinas.

No limitation, therefore, of the curfew to only parking at squares, promenade and lookout as announced a few hours ago by the President of the Region himself, but only an hour and a half of free movement more.

"It will be a very difficult March. The third wave that has already hit Germany, England, France, is hitting a part of Italy, including Emilia-Romagna".

Governor Stefano Bonaccini said this to 'Non è la D'Urso' on Canale 5. "I have a duty to make decisions. We are here to listen, to discuss with everyone. to problems and tragedies, he has the duty to decide. And therefore we will be ready for any restrictions to protect people and to lower the curve that is going up in a very heavy way and then to have spring and summer that can go better ".

The first region to start the restart, with caution and gradual reopening, Sardinia from today, supported by its low Rt for the past three weeks, gains the 'white zone', with the exception of three municipalities in the Sassari area for a few days in the red zone.

There are 12 thousand places closed or subject to restrictions - including 800 farmhouses - which will return almost to normal.

Even people, always with masks and spacing, will be able to move freely with the only prohibition to park in the 'hot' points.

Back to class for all 207,268 students on the island who say 'hello' to Dad.

The goal of an Easter - April 5th - of economic and social resurrection is almost within reach.

On the strength of the result, the governor Cristian Solinas wants to ask Prime Minister Mario Draghi for a fast lane to vaccinate all Sardinians within 45 days and consolidate the island in the Covid-free path.

From today, therefore, in Sardinia it will be possible to circulate anywhere and without time limits, the curfew will remain limited to squares, belvedere and promenade where you can only pass without stopping.

Shopping centers also open on weekends.

These are the main links loosened by the order of Governor Solinas which also clears customs for dinner away from home.

No longer just take away, delivery and take away: restaurants open until 11pm, back to table service and conviviality.

Even the bars open until 9 pm are reborn: enough with an early aperitif at tea time.

But it is not a "free all", warns the governor mindful of the "very heavy price, paid last summer" when "the virus was reported to us on the island: this is why the real issue now will be the controls on the one hand and the civic sense of people on the other ".

Check and prevention to stay 'white'.

A specific ordinance will soon be issued, explains Solinas, "which provides for the use of regional personnel to carry out antigen tests or swabs on people arriving in the coming days both in ports and airports".

"People and tourists are welcome, - says the governor - we ask only in their interest to arrive with a test already performed or if they have not, to take a few minutes on arrival to perform it".

"If during the first week of easing we see positive indicators, we will proceed with the reopening of gyms, swimming pools and dance schools, until the long-awaited new normal is returned", promises Solinas.

The white zone, he recalled, "is a great result achieved thanks to the sacrifice of all Sardinians, of the health personnel engaged in this battle against the virus, and all the more reason we must feel the responsibility to maintain this result".

Therefore, "we must not let our guard down", concludes the governor of Sardinia.
