Extension of the measures in force, implementation of new restrictions, or a vaccination campaign: the reasons for the discontent were numerous.

This weekend, rallies were held in several countries around the world, to protest against health measures to try to stem the Covid-19 epidemic.

In Ireland, 23 people were arrested Saturday in Dublin during an anti-containment protest, which resulted in violence and was condemned by Prime Minister Micheal Martin.

Among the demonstrators, who distributed leaflets with the slogan "Let Ireland live" and chanted "end the confinement", some wore clothes with the logo of the National Party, Irish far-right party.

Three policemen were injured.

Protesters also gathered in the Netherlands and Denmark.

In Copenhagen, eight people were arrested.

It was the first protest since the Danish government decided this week to extend many of the restrictions in place against the virus.

In Brazil, demonstrators were protesting against the strengthening of local containment measures aimed at stemming the spread of the coronavirus, including the closure of schools and all businesses considered non-essential.

In his Argentine neighbor, voices were raised against the scandal of “VIP vaccinations”.

The scandal erupted last week when a journalist said on the radio that he had been vaccinated thanks to his friendship with the Minister of Health, Ginés Gonzalez Garcia, who had to resign in the wake at the request of President Alberto Fernandez.
