"That was close": Lady Gaga's dog sitter Ryan Fischer only narrowly escaped death in the attack in which two of the singer's dogs were stolen.
Fischer announced this in an Instagram post from the hospital.
Fischer was out with three of the singer's French Bulldogs last Wednesday when he was ambushed and shot in Hollywood.
Two men escaped with the dogs Koji and Gustav.
The third dog, Asia, ran to him when he was bleeding on the street, Fischer wrote on Instagram.
The police are still looking for two suspects between the ages of 20 and 25.
The search for the dogs, however, ended well on Friday.
A woman found the animals on the street and handed them over, the police said.
"Your babies are back and your family is complete again," Fischer wrote to Lady Gaga.
He thanked the pop star and friends and family for their support.
The singer had previously praised her dogwalker as a "hero" who risked his life while fighting for the dogs.
According to Fischer's family, doctors expect the man to make a full recovery.
The robbery occurred during a visit to Rome by Lady Gaga, who, according to media reports, is supposed to be there for filming.
