Another case of VIP vaccination against the coronavirus, detected in the Santa Fe town of
Reconquista
, led to the
intervention of the
regional
hospital
where relatives of members of the Administrative Council who
were not part of the health personnel
were inoculated
.
The situation became known last week and the governor himself, Omar Perotti, demanded the
resignation of the director
of the health center.
The coordinator of the Regional Health of Reconquista, Leira Mansur, confirmed this Monday that it was ordered by decree to put her in charge of the hospital to work with the deputy director and members of the Board of Directors in a report that allows to elucidate the scope of the irregularities committed with vaccination and the number of people who were inoculated outside the population targeted in the first stage.
In addition to the actions promoted by the provincial Ministry of Health, which aims to provide
administrative sanctions
, those responsible could be reached by a
criminal action
in the Justice.
Last Friday, the director of the Reconquista hospital Olga Stucky, Fabián Nuzzarello, presented his resignation.
The professional, however, said he was
not responsible for what happened
because when the VIP vaccines were applied he was on vacation and was unaware of the existence of parallel lists.
"When there is a scandal of this magnitude, the owner of the circus ends up taking charge of the clowns," he said in his defense before consulting the Reconquista Hoy portal.
"We had
thousands of pressures
from the first day of people who wanted to be vaccinated and we never agreed," said Nuzzarello.
Among those responsible for the schedule that allowed to vaccinate family members and personnel outside the Reconquista hospital, three members of the Hospital's Board of Directors are pointed out.
The investigation points to the representative of the professionals, the pharmacist Gerardo Rodgers;
of the non-professionals, Mabel Godoy, and of the Cooperator, Susana Visciglio, who also admitted
being responsible for the preparation of the questioned lists
.
Among the VIP vaccinated are relatives of some members of the Board of Directors.
Rodgers said he had received a call from Visciglio to be noted on the list of those who were going to apply the vaccine and that in that contact he asked to include
his wife (also a pharmacist) and two brothers-in-law
, one a biochemist and the other a pharmacist.
The representative of the State in the Board of Directors of the hospital, Andrés Ramseyer, also put his resignation at his disposal on Monday after admitting that he had included his wife on the vaccination list.
In a letter he accepts that for his conduct "there is no valid justification, there is no reasonably acceptable excuse, at least morally."
