(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 02 - Coronavirus positives in Italy date back with the almost doubling of tampons in the last 24 hours, while there are still 343 victims, 458 more hospitalizations and especially daily admissions to intensive care are 222, with almost two weeks ascent of hospitalization in resuscitation.

The positivity rate, as often happens on Tuesdays, drops.

    There are therefore 17,083 positive tests, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

Yesterday there were 13,114.

The daily victims were 246 yesterday.

    335,983 swabs (molecular and antigenic) were carried out;

yesterday the tests were just 170,633.

Today's positive rate is almost 5.1%, down 2.6% from 7.6% yesterday.

    There are 2,327 patients in intensive care, an increase of 38 units in the daily balance between entries and exits.

However, there were 222 daily admissions, a worrying figure to be verified in the next few days to exclude a simple accumulation of notifications today.

There were not so many since 10 December, when they were 251 (the figure is announced starting from 3 December last).

The patients admitted to the ordinary wards are instead 19,570, an increase of 458 units compared to yesterday.

    The total cases since the beginning of the epidemic are 2,955,434, the deaths 98,288.

The currently positive are 430,996 (+6,663 compared to yesterday), the recovered and discharged 2,426,150 (+10,057).

In house isolation there are now 409,099 people (+6,167).
