(ANSA) - ROME, 02 MAR - Renaturating at least 350 million hectares of forests by 2030 could generate a net economic benefit equal to about 170 billion dollars a year (about 140 billion euros), considering the protection of water basins, the increase in agricultural productivity, as well as the advantages in terms of mitigating climate change thanks to the sequestration of over 5 billion tonnes of CO2 per year.
To show it the new WWF report "Nature Value", created within the ReNature Italy campaign and launched in view of March 3, World Wildlife Day established by the United Nations in 2013 and this year dedicated to forests and vehicles of sustenance.
