(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 03 - There are 20,884 positive tests for alcoronavirus in the last 24 hours in Italy, which bring the total of the infected to 2,976,274.
Yesterday the positives were 17,083.
The increase in victims in one day, according to data from the Ministry of Health, is 347. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 98,635 people have died.
To date in Italy there are 437,421 currently positive, up by 6,425 compared to Tuesday.
The healed and discharged since the beginning of the emergency are instead 2,440,218 with an increase of 14,068 in the last 24 hours.
358,884 swabs (molecular and antigenic) were performed in the last 24 hours.
Yesterday the tests were 335,983.
The positivity rate is 5.8%, up from 5.1% yesterday.
Finally, there are 2,411 patients in intensive care for Covid-19 in Italy, an increase of 84 units in the daily balance between entries and exits.
The daily admissions, according to the data of the Ministry of Health, are 222, the same number as yesterday.
The patients admitted to the ordinary wards are instead 19,763, an increase of 193 units compared to yesterday.
