(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 03 - Country star Dolly Parton has been vaccinated against coronavirus and for the occasion has re-invented one of her most famous pieces to urge everyone to follow her example.

Parton, 75, sang an adapted version of 'Jolene' before receiving the Covid vaccine at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
"Vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, please, please don't hesitate," sang the country star in a video posted on social media.
Parton was injected with a dose of Moderna which she helped fund by donating $ 1 million to Vanderbilt University MedicalCenter.
"I'm old enough to get the vaccine and I'm smart enough to get the vaccine," the singer told her fans before getting injected with the coronavirus drug.
