Covid: record deaths in Brazil, 1,840 in 24 hours

(ANSA) - SAN PAOLO, MARCH 4 - The Covid-19 epidemic continues to run in Brazil.

In the last 24 hours, the victims have been 1,840 compared to 74,376 new infections.

This is the highest death toll in one day since the start of the pandemic.

The total toll rises to 259,402 deaths and 10,722,221 of confirmed cases.

For 42 consecutive days, the average daily casualties in Brazil have remained over one thousand.
