(ANSA) - SANREMO, 03 MAR - A sensational protest initiative against anti-covid restrictions in a bar in the center of Sanremo, not far from the Ariston.

The manager continued to serve aperitifs after the 'cut-off' time of 6pm and when a dozen brigade and policemen intervened on the spot, support choirs were chained: about sixty participants, among the customers of the restaurant and other supporters who joined.

"People want to work, you have a safe salary", or "We'll pay you your salary", they said to the police.

The Sanremo area from tomorrow goes into 'reinforced orange' (the rest of Liguria is yellow).

Participants in the protest also organized a symbolic collection, collecting 5 euros from each of the participants, to offer the money for the probable fine to the manager of the restaurant in the very central Via Corradi.

Among the stadium choirs addressed to the police, the one of "work, work, work" was often heard.

Among the owners of bars and restaurants in Sanremo, the mood has risen in the last hours after yesterday evening a restrictive regional ordinance, linked to the trend of infections, had disappointed those who hoped to be able to work, especially during the Festival, also thanks to the fact that the Liguria Region is back in the yellow zone.

Among the protests, in the afternoon some of them also announced their intention to donate the purchased foodstuffs to charity that they will not be able to use.
