(ANSA) - TERNI, 03 MAR - They allegedly requested and obtained recourse to the Covid layoffs, provided to support the companies affected by the pandemic, not for the real difficulty of the plant, but for "a preordained company policy", aimed at diverting orders from the Terni to others owned by the same group, and therefore to close the site, as actually happened in recent days: it is the accusation for which three managers of Treofan were reported by the Economic and Financial Police Unit of the Finance Guard for aggravated fraud against the State.
These are the CEO and CFO of TreofanEurope, considered by the investigators to be the de facto administrators of the company owned by the Jindal group, and the legal representative of Treofan Italy in the period of the disputed facts, which date back to the period August-October 2020.
"The paradox of the story - explained during a press conference the prosecutor of Terni Alberto Liguori, who coordinated the investigations - is that at this juncture, in our opinion, there has not been a decrease in the productivity of the factory, but rather an increase ".
