(ANSA) - LONDON, MARCH 03 - The conditions of 99 Prince Philip, who has been hospitalized for over 2 weeks now, have "slightly improved", even if the Duke of Edinburgh "is suffering".
This was stated by the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, wife of the heir to the throne Charles, eldest son of the same Philip and Queen Elizabeth, interviewed by journalists on the sidelines of a visit to an anti Covid vaccination center on the outskirts of London.
"Let's keep our fingers crossed," added Camilla, with cautious optimism.
The Duke of Edinburgh, whose 100th birthday is scheduled on June 10th, was initially hospitalized in a private wing of Kind Edward VII's Hospital in London following an unspecified "infection", however unrelated to Covid according to Buckingham Palace; and was then transferred two days ago to the better equipped St Bartholomew, center of excellence for cardiovascular pathologies, to undergo heart checks related to a "pre-existing condition".
