The Misiones Justice investigates a case of

suppression of the identity

of a newborn.

A provincial police officer and a man who posed as the biological father and registered as his own the baby who was born on February 23 in a private clinic in the town of Cerro Azul, south of the city, are involved in the incident. Province.

The investigation was triggered this Tuesday at 11:10 in the Cerro Azul police station, when Juan Miérez (39) and his partner, Griselda Carolina Mastke (42), appeared to report that a young woman who

The couple indicated that the boy was born on February 23 at the Cerro Azul Medical Institute and that he was registered as Emiliano Miérez, since Juan accompanied the mother as if she were his partner.

not carried out through legal channels

They added that there was only a verbal agreement with the woman in labor, identified as Valeria Asunción Kalen, an officer who provides services in the Directorate of Road Safety of the Missions Police.

Miérez and Mastke said that on Monday night Kalen came home to take the baby.

The Police gave intervention to the investigating judge Selva Raquel Zuetta, who ordered the arrest of Miérez and the kidnapping of his cell phone and that of his partner.

live birth certificate

Sources linked to the investigation said that Kalen was admitted to give birth last week and that Miérez was her companion, posing as her partner.

With the live birth certificate, the man went to the Registry of Persons and registered the baby as Emiliano Miérez.

To prove that he is not the biological father, the Justice will order a

DNA study

In the social networks Facebook, Kalen did not stop posting photos in recent months, but in all cases she used old or current images but in which her pregnancy was not noticed.

Before his bosses he had assured that he

had lost the baby

in the last part of the gestation period.

Miérez for now is the only defendant who has the cause, but in the next few days Kalen and Mastke could join.

The young mother, who is with her baby, was not arrested because the Justice considers that she is

still under the puerperium state
