Vaccines: production meeting at Mise. Bonaccini: we ask Figliuolo for the turning point

The second meeting of the table aimed at the production of anti-covid vaccines in Italy has begun at Mise.

The meeting, chaired by the minister of economic development Giancarlo Giorgetti, was attended by the president of Farmindustria, Massimo Scaccabarozzi, with the general manager Enrica Giorgetti, and the director of the study center Carlo Riccini.

Undersecretary Franco Gabrielli was present.

For Aifa there is the president Giorgio Palù.

Gelmini, Friday Government-Regions-Curcio-Figliuolo

- "On Friday a meeting between the government and the Regions on vaccines is already scheduled, which will also be attended by the new head of Civil Protection, Fabrizio Curcio, and the new extraordinary Commissioner for Covid emergency, General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo ".

This was stated by the Minister of Regional Affairs Mariastella Gelmini in a hearing at the Parliamentary Commission for regional issues at Palazzo San Macuto in Rome.

"We have worked very well with Arcuri and I thank him. I believe that on Friday we will meet the new commissioner, General Figliuolo. The hope of all is that in the country and consequently also in Emilia-Romagna, many more vaccines will arrive than before and a turning point in supplies ".

Thus the president of the Emilia-Romagna Region Stefano Bonaccini, answering a question on the change of the commissioner structure.

"We organize the supply. But purchasing and procurement depend on the central government."

Bonaccini defined it as "frustrating" to have the organization to vaccinate but not be able to do it for the few doses.
