Almost 23,000 positive in 24 hours and 232 intensive care admissions

Coronavirus positives in Italy still rise, reaching 23,000 in 24 hours against a decrease in tampons. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 04 - The positive alcoronaviruses in Italy are still rising, reaching 23,000 in 24 hours in the face of a decrease in tampons.

Intensive care admissions continue to rise, 232 notified on the last day, the second highest figure since they were communicated, last December 3.

The victims are still 339.


    The daily positive tests are 22,865, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

Yesterday the positives were 20,884.

The victims yesterday were 347.


    There are 339,635 molecular and antigenic swabs carried out in the last 24 hours, yesterday they were 358,884, almost 20,000 more.

The positivity rate is 6.7%, yesterday it was 5.8%, so today it increases by 0.9%.


    There are 2,475 patients in intensive care for Covid-19, an increase of 64 units in the daily balance between entries and exits.

The daily admissions to intensive care were 232.


   In the ordinary wards there are instead 20,157 people, an increase of 394 units compared to yesterday.


    The threshold of 20 milararies with symptoms is then again exceeded.


    The total cases recorded since the beginning of the epidemic are almost 3 million, 2,999,119 to be exact, 98,974 deaths.


    The currently positive are 446,439 (+9,018 compared to yesterday), the discharged and healed 2,453,706 (+13,488), in the home isolation there are now 423,807 people (+8,560).


    Lombardy has registered over 5,000 positive tests in 24 hours.
