(ANSA) - CAGLIARI, 04 MAR - The Court of Cagliari, recognizing the illegitimacy of the expulsion from the M5S of the regional councilor Carla Cuccu, ordered the suspension of the effectiveness of the provision by decree issued today afternoon, accepting the precautionary petition presented by his lawyers.
This was announced by the lawyers of Carla Cuccu, Patrizio Rovelli and Lorenzo Borrè.
Cuccu had been expelled twenty days ago by the political leader VitoCrimi with a provision of the Guarantee Committee which, rejecting the complaint proposed by the councilor against the suspension provision, had aggravated the sanction by resolving his expulsion.
The decision, explains the lawyer Borrè, had been taken by the bodies of the M5s, "generally referring to conduct contrary to the movement, without however specifying what these consisted of and without obviously contesting them against the accused, thus violating, among other things, the most elementary principles of the right of defence".
The same court had in recent days appointed a special curator of the M5s because "he was left without legal representation" since on February 17 the members of the Rousseau platform had voted for the modification of the statute of the M5s, introducing a steering committee of five members in place of the Chief political, with all the functions of legal representation.
