In February, the confidence index of the purchasing managers of the Italian building sector (SME building index) stood at 54.8 points, registering the fastest increase in Italian construction activity since October 2018 and exceeding the estimated values in France and Germany by more than 10 points. In the same month of February, in fact, France and Germany recorded a contraction of the confidence index in the construction sector , stopping respectively at 44 and 41 points ".
