On March 7, the eagerly awaited double interview by talk show host Oprah Winfrey with Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry will be broadcast on US television.

But the first excerpts from the conversation are already being published.

The latest clip shows that Duchess Meghan accuses the British royal family of leaving untruths about her.

"I don't see how after all this time you can expect us to remain silent if the company [royalty] plays an active role in upholding falsehoods about us," Meghan said on the video released by CBS .

"The company" is a term Queen Elizabeth II has reportedly used to refer to the British royal family.

The statements come to the public at an explosive time.

Because they seem like a direct reaction to the announcement by Buckingham Palace on Wednesday that allegations of bullying against the Duchess will be investigated by former employees.

However, Winfrey's interview with the couple was recorded much earlier.

According to a report in the Times, former employees said they had been bullied by the Duchess when she was in London.

The 39-year-old and her three years younger husband let the allegations about their spokesman be described as a "smear campaign".

The couple's lawyers see the "distorted, several-year-old" allegations evidently as a diversionary maneuver by the royal family.

In addition to the dispute with the royal family, another report in the "Times" brings Meghan under fire: The Duchess is said to have worn earrings on an official trip to Fiji, which were a wedding present from Mohammed bin Salman.

The Duchess herself is said to have said that the jewelry was borrowed.

The Saudi Crown Prince is said to be primarily responsible for the death of reporter Jamal Khashoggi.

Royal insiders criticize the timing of the interview

Recent developments are adding to the tension between the California couple and the British Crown.

The palace recently announced that Harry and Meghan would no longer be returning as working royals.

Royal insiders also criticize the timing of the interview while the 99-year-old Prince Philip is still in hospital in London.

Meghan also speaks in the pre-released clip of the risk of further burdening the relationship with her openness.

The couple had recently published excerpts from the conversation.

Obviously, it is also about the decision of the two to completely withdraw from their duties as members of the British royal family.

"It was incredibly tough for both of us, but at least we had each other," Harry said.
