He had run into someone of the same age in front of an approaching S-Bahn: A 15-year-old was sentenced to eight months suspended sentence by the Frankfurt Regional Court for dangerous bodily harm.

The verdict is not yet legally binding.

The incident occurred in February 2020 on a platform at Bad Homburg train station in Hesse, where the two young people got into an argument.

A video recording showed that the 15-year-old was able to save himself a few seconds before the S-Bahn pulled into the platform.

The train driver had previously initiated an emergency brake.

According to the result of an expert opinion, the accused youngster did not see the arriving S-Bahn at the time of the impact and thus could not see the danger for the opponent.

This also ruled out an intent to kill.

The prosecutor had pleaded an attempted homicide.

The process took place in camera.
