(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 05 - Between March and December 2020, 108,178 more deaths were observed than the average for the same period in the years 2015-2019 (21% excess), wanting to estimate the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic on total mortality .
In 2020, the total of deaths due to all the causes was the highest ever recorded in our country since the second postwar period: 746,146 deaths, 100,526 deaths more than the 2015-2019 average (15.6% excess).
