Covid: over 24 thousand positives in 24 hours, exceeded 3 million cases

(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 05 - New leap in positive alcoronavirus tests in 24 hours: today there are over 24,000, bringing the total of cases ascertained in Italy since the beginning of the epidemic to exceed 3 million.

The victims, with today's 297 - given incalo - are getting closer and closer to the frightening threshold of 100 thousand.

They continue to rise by over 200 a day, even in intensive care, again according to the bulletin of the Ministry of Health, bringing the total number of resuscitation patients back to over 2,500.


    Today the positive tests were 24,036, bringing the total to 3,023,129.

Since the beginning of the emergency, 99,271 people have died.


    There are 378,463 molecular and antigenic swabs carried out in the last 24 hours, yesterday they were 339,635.

The positive rate was 6.3%, down by 0.4 compared to 6.7% yesterday.


    There are exactly 2,525 patients in intensive care, 50 more than yesterday in the daily balance between income and expenses.


   The daily admissions to resuscitation, according to data from the Ministry of Health, are 222 (yesterday they were 232).

In the ordinary departments there are instead 20,374 people, an increase of 217 units compared to yesterday.


    There are also 456,470 currently positive, up 10,031 compared to yesterday.

The healed and discharged since the beginning of the emergency are 2,467,388, with an increase of 13,682 in the last 24 hours.

In house isolation there are now 433,571 people (+9,764 compared to yesterday).


    Lombardy scores over 5,000 and 200 positive tests, followed by Emilia Romagna with more than 3,000 and 200. (ANSA).
