(ANSA) - TURIN, 05 MAR - There are "numerous" files opened in 2020 by the prosecutor of the Piedmont Court of Auditors for issues related to Covid and, in particular, to public administration expenses.
Several also concern "deaths in RSA and nursing homes".
This is the result of the report released by the regional prosecutor, Quirino Lorelli, at the inauguration of the judicial year.
"These are - he explained - facts connected to the pandemic phase and the correlated purchases of goods, goods and services by the bodies of the regional health service".
The new proceedings, together with those on RSA and on indemnities for the excessive duration of the trials (the so-called Pinto Law), contributed significantly to the overall increase in cases hinged on by the prosecutor during the year, which amounted to 4,817 compared to 4,224 in the 2019 (+ 14%).
