(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 05 - During 2020, the tax receipts ascertained on the basis of the criterion of legal competence amounted to 446,796 million euros, with a decrease of 25,183 million euros compared to the same period of 2019 (-5, 3%).

In 2020, indirect taxes amounted to 194,224, with a trend decrease of 25,206 million euros (equal to -11.5%).
Contributing to the negative trend was the reduction in VAT (-13,227 million euros, -9.7%), and, in particular, of the levy component on internal trade (-9,377 million euros, -7.6%) and that on imports (-3.850 million euros, -27.7%).

Tax revenue from tax assessment and control activities amounted to 8,854 million (-4,462 million euros, equal to -33.5%) of which 3,977 million euros (-2,940 million euros, -42.5%) direct taxes and 4,877 million euros (-1,522 million euros, -23.8%) from indirect taxes.
This was communicated by the Mef, specifying that "these trends reflect the effects of the" Cura Italia "decree which had already suspended the terms of payment of tax and non-tax revenues deriving from payment notices issued by the collection agents of the terms extended to the end of 2020 (ANSA).
