The SPD in the Hessian state parliament describes it as "bad style", the parliamentary group of the Left calls it "completely incomprehensible".
Both criticize the Hessian Interior Minister Peter Beuth (CDU).
Because he refuses to let the state treasury take over protective measures for the threatened lawyer Seda Başay-Yıldız, although these protective measures were clearly only caused by government failures.
Başay-Yıldız has been receiving threatening letters from NSU 2.0 for more than two and a half years after her publicly unknown private address was queried on a police computer in Frankfurt am Main.
She and her family were threatened with life in the letters.
During their investigation, the Hessian police came across a right-wing chat group within a Frankfurt police station where the query took place.
The author (s) of the threatening letters have not yet been found.
The lawyer has moved in the meantime, but the threatening letters never stopped.
On the advice of the Hessian State Criminal Police Office, she reports, she also secured her new apartment.
She wanted to have the Hessian authorities reimburse her for the cost of around 5000 euros.
But these have so far refused.
The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported on this first.
LKA liaison officers
The Hessian Ministry of the Interior points out that a careful examination of the security situation in the Başay-Yildiz case had taken place.
The lawyer is closely looked after by liaison officers from the State Office of Criminal Investigation, and the officers can be reached day and night.
In addition, there are "situation-adapted measures", for example when the lawyer makes public appearances.
However, information on individual protective measures cannot be given publicly.
Superficially, the case is about money, but there is also a long argument between the lawyer and the Hessian interior minister.
Not only does Başay-Yildiz accuse him of negligence.
The opposition in the Hessian state parliament has also criticized the fact that the Drohmail affair and its obvious links to the Hessian police have still not been clarified.
