The Ministry of Health of the Nation reported this Saturday
another 86 deaths and 4,860 new cases
of coronavirus throughout the country.
Thus, Argentina reached 52,870 fatalities and 2,146,714 infections.
Of the last deceased (49 men, 36 women and one person whose sex was not specified), 65 resided in the province of Buenos Aires, five in La Rioja, four in Salta, three in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA) and Río Negro;
two in Entre Ríos and Córdoba;
and one in Chaco and Neuquén.
As usual, the province of Buenos Aires accumulated the highest number of positives, with 2,215, followed by the City of Buenos Aires (651), Córdoba (412) and Santa Fe (337).
Further back were Corrientes (177), Mendoza (124), Chaco (122), Misiones (108) and Entre Ríos (101).
The daily report was completed by Neuquén (91), Tucumán (86), Río Negro (71), Salta (62), Jujuy (56), Santiago del Estero (54), Catamarca (46), Chubut (41), La Pampa ( 34), Santa Cruz (31), La Rioja (22), Tierra del Fuego (10), San Juan (5), Formosa (3) and San Luis (1).
Of the 153,527 people who are suffering from the disease, 3,475 remain hospitalized in Intensive Care Units (ICU).
The percentage of bed occupancy is 59.7% in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA) and 54.2% in the rest of the country.
In the last hours, 37,730 tests were carried out, with a positivity of 12.8%.
Since the beginning of the outbreak, 7,697,759 diagnostic tests have been performed for this disease.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health reported that nearly
900,000 workers in the
Argentine
health system have
already received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine, while almost 90% of the 77,812 employees in the area who have been diagnosed with the disease since the beginning of the pandemic they were already discharged.
The portfolio detailed that 890,221 health workers were immunized against Covid-19 since the vaccination operation for that group began in our country, on December 29.
A total of 299,049 have already been inoculated with the two doses of the vaccine, while 591,172 received the first.

For its part, Chile reported more than 5,000 new cases of coronavirus, the highest daily figure recorded since mid-June 2020, bringing the total to 845,000 infections since the start of the pandemic.
