Prof. Ronit Calderon-Margalit from the School of Public Health at the Hebrew University says that it is indeed very desirable for people not to enter closed places and not to go to halls, including family events, if this is not necessary.
"As hard as it is to say, I do not trust the preservation of the green mark in the country," says Prof. Calderon.
"Unfortunately, I think they will not be guarded, and that it is indeed a danger for people to get indoors now. So I really do not recommend going to ballrooms and weddings held indoors, nor about eating in the indoor area in restaurants. If I am asked about it, I say no to go."
"There is a halt to the decline in the number of patients and there is an increase in the infection rate, and we have seen in the past why this is a cause. Therefore, I really recommend to anyone at risk, to any adult who should not - not go, do not trust others and just take care of yourself."
Prof. Nadav Davidovich, head of the School of Public Health at Ben-Gurion University and a member of the government advisory team, is also currently calling on the public not to enter closed places.
He said, "It is true that there is a green sign, but I still recommend meeting outside as much as possible and not indoors."
Prof. Davidovich adds that "of course, do not put children in such places despite the green mark, and do not enter even if you are vaccinated."
However, he notes that "once rapid tests come in and tests are done for adults and children against corona, it is a different situation. But right now, in the current situation, when there is still the disease and it is not really possible to know who is sick and who is healthy, do not enter."
