(ANSA) - BEIJING, 07 MAR - China seeks agreements with the United States and Europe, and invites the former to remove the "unreasonable" obstacles to cooperation.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, in a press conference on the sidelines of parliamentary work, said, referring to the United States that it is "in the interest of the two countries and of the whole world that cooperation is the main objective" hoping that "the United States will move in the same direction and remove unreasonable restrictions as soon as possible, without creating new obstacles. "
Referring then to Europe, Wang observed that China and the EU are not systemic rivals and that Beijing supports European integration.
The two sides "can achieve great results," said Foreign Minister Wang Yi, noting that "bilateral relations have demonstrated resilience and vitality, with the win-win cooperation being the cornerstone of the relationship."
"In our vision, China and the EU are important players in a multipolar world", while the agreement on the bilateral treaty on investments "is based on mutual interests and China will keep the promises made in the treaty, including the international labor convention".
The Chinese Foreign Minister then urged the US to lift sanctions on Tehran and Iran to "fulfill its responsibilities against nuclear proliferation".
Finally, he called for an end to the violence in Burma: an invitation to resume dialogue "as soon as possible".
