(ANSA) - BEIJING, 07 MAR - The improvement of Hong Kong's electoral system aims "to strengthen the 'one country, two systems' model and to maintain stability". Speaking in a press conference on the sidelines of the annual parliamentary proceedings, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said it is not possible to be "a part of China and not be patriotic to the motherland." For this, the consolidation "of the principle of 'patriots who administer Hong Kong' is constitutional, legitimate, fair and reasonable," added Wang, for which foreign residents and investments will be protected.
