(ANSA) - GENEVA, 07 MAR - The referendum 'Yes to the prohibition of dissimulating one's face', called 'anti-burqa', was approved by the majority of Swiss voters.
According to the final results, the constitutional amendment, promoted by the conservative right and fought by the government, won 51.2% of the votes of the voters and the accession of 20 of the 26 cantons, reported the Keystone-Ats news agency.
In 2009, the Swiss also approved an initiative against the construction of minarets with 57.5% of votes in favor.
