Shmuel Hasefri returns to the small screen with a new comedic-political drama: "Baby Bull in the Middle" (here 11, 22:15) - and forgets about the whole thing when the party wins only seven seats.
A year after the election, after three MKs from the party retire under suspicious circumstances, Honey enters the House of Representatives and discovers a tough world.
"The filming experience was fun on the levels," recalls Ruth Asarsai, who plays in the series alongside Danny Stegg, Yakir Shukron, Kobi Maimon, Eden Saban and more.
"It felt like I was doing theater, but I was actually doing TV. There is a melody in the text of the book that is very easy for me to remember, which is harder for people who do not come from theater. This is the first time we are working together, and it was a great experience."
Tell us about the character you play
.
"The smart Tigist is a jade girl, a fashionista and exaggerated in her dress, sharp, smart and moves moves quietly, without getting her hands dirty."
The series features absurd moves and extreme characters, but after the past year one can believe that such things can happen
.
"The book spent a lot of time in the Knesset and studied the subject. For us it felt a little too excessive, but today when I see news, everything suddenly seems logical."
Did participating in the series make you want to get into politics
?
"No, it makes me sick (laughs)."
These days Asarsai is playing in "The Cops" Bow 12 which is due to end tomorrow.
Just before the theater closed, she starred in "The Return" at the Cameri and entered rehearsals for "White Night," a new play.
"We were at the height of the success of 'The Return' and then came the Corona," she says.
"The longing for the stage is great. There is talk of opening up the world of culture and I remain optimistic, but there were moments when I said 'it happens' and was disappointed."
Until she returns to the stage there is a new project in her life - a first birth.
We are talking a few days before birth, which during the corona period becomes a more complex experience.
"I'm in week 41, have to give birth every day. A birth in Corona is weird. A lot of people won't be able to visit because of the situation. But right now, other than being really heavy for me, I'm fine.
