(ANSA) - MILAN, 07 MAR - The melancholy notes of 'Mission' by Ennio Morricone played by a trumpet and a warm applause from a hundred Milanese present outside PalazzoMarino, accompanied the last farewell to the former mayor of Milan, Carlo Tognoli, whose coffin was escorted by his wife Dorina and their children Filippo and Anna to Piazza Scala, before setting off for a private burial.
A very austere and concrete secular celebration, as was also the former socialist mayor who died on Friday at the age of 82, who saw the current Mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, the former companion of UgoFinetti left, the former director of Corriere della Sera Ferruccio DeBortoli, the artistic director of the Teatro Parenti Ruth Shammaahe the daughter of Tognoli, Anna.
