Zidane founded "Pepino" a few months ago.

Seven of what Corona and the government did to restaurants in Tel Aviv, he returned to his home in the north and established a small kingdom (seriously, very small. No more than four picnic tables) with big plans, facing one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Hermon area.



The menu, accordingly, is very small, flickering to the sides, and is about to change.

We had a burata salad (cherry tomatoes, purple onion, basil, balsamic and chive oil, NIS 54), pepperoni pizza (tomato sauce, chili, rocket and parmesan, NIS 63) and also "Sloppy Joe" (long-cooked asado, potatoes , Basil aioli, NIS 47) in pita, and we went to pass the time beyond the same "main road of Ein Kinia", with a panoramic view of everything that is Israeli and located below the plateau.

The salad was fresh and simple, and therefore huge.

The waitress cut the burata with the serving in a waiver that could be waived, and let us continue from there.

The creamy cheese, made by Ivri Dairy, was ceramic and thick, and provided the vegetables underneath with another shell of sauce.

Along with it - and with good tomatoes and good leaves and good olive oil - it could have been called a meal already, but we were hungrier.



The pizza came second, with a medium-thick dough and flexible in texture, with brown edges from a non-smelling oven, and solid toppings.

The "Sloppy Joe" (actually, classic decomposed meat) was put in another oven heat stroke, came out of there and filled * two * medium-sized pitas, which were clearly prepared on the spot.

Beside him were placed such small, broken-broken potatoes, which had been in the oven long enough to develop a hot relationship with him, and yellowish-green aioli.



The fresh pitas held the stew nicely, and the defeat itself was deep from hours of fussing, and free of distractions - some leaves and herbs, and lots of asado.

There are places in Tel Aviv that will charge you about the same price for this dish, and will give you one pita in return, with no addition.

As mentioned, we are not in Tel Aviv.

Another brief conversation with Zidane made it clear that he did not intend to rest.

There are works on a seating terrace above the stand (because this view needs another floor to climb to, apparently), and no less intriguing works on a new menu that will make, among other things, its tempting hamburger special something more permanent.

If all goes well, we may soon see here a deadly combination of its potential of Italian-Druze food.



We all know these places in the north that are "okay, relatively".

We have all learned to compromise and say that food is not the most important thing on the way to Mount Hermon, or the waterfall.

But people like Zidane do not want to compromise, do not need "okay, relatively" and do not even need an address.

Just put in Wise "Pepino Pizza Bar", and do not stop until you see on one side a spectacular spectacle, and on the other a view.
