Has Bavaria's Ministry of Health duped the public? Previously unknown documents on outrageously expensive deals with a Swiss mask dealer raise new questions.

It was a time for gold diggers: Anyone who had protective masks and preferably still had access to politics could become a multimillionaire in a few weeks during the panic weeks of the pandemic, in spring 2020.

For billions of euros, the federal and state governments ordered masks, gloves, protective gowns and, as is so often the case when money and greed come together, some of them neglect their conscience.

Last week it became known that the CSU MP Georg Nüßlein was being investigated, who allegedly had his work for a provider paid well - Nüßlein denied.

Another mask case now occupies Munich public prosecutors.

The Bavarian SPD politician Florian von Brunn has filed a criminal complaint in the Emix case.

The Swiss company had sold masks to the state of Bavaria at such high prices that Brunn could not have done anything right.

The spicy thing about it: The CSU celebrities Monika Hohlmeier, daughter of Franz Josef Strauss, and Stephan Mayer, Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of the Interior, let a daughter of the CSU veteran Gerold Tandler hitch a door opener for Emix.

Here, too, the line between representatives of the people and vacuum cleaners evidently blurred;

At least in the Federal Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Health in Bavaria, Emix then made gold degrees.

Other providers, on the other hand, never heard from the decision-makers;

their offers rotten in the office.

What the suspicion is now growing further: According to previously unknown documents, the information from the Bavarian Ministry of Health on the controversial Emix deals are dubious.

A security risk also apparently remained hidden.
