(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 08 - Women dressed in red, red like the blood of the many women killed, vilified, outraged.
Women who ask the world for 'respect and love'.
Flash mob # 100donnevestitedirosso in the cloister of the abbey of S. Giuliano in Genoa to celebrate the international women's day and to remember Clara Ceccarelli, the merchant killed by her ex-partner with a hundred stab wounds.
The event was conceived and organized by the regional Unicef ambassador Alessia Cotta Ramusino, with the coordination of the Culture Department of the Liguria Region.
During the flash mob, Ramusino sang Yallah !, a song that deals with the theme of femicide, bringing out an aspect that would like to prevent the perpetration of these crimes and abuses against women.
In addition to the Ligurian governor Giovanni Toti and the mayor of Genoa Marco Bucci took part in the flash mob, who joined the red women during the performance of the piece, together with Ilaria Cavo and Barbara Grosso, regional and municipal councilors for culture.
"It is an important moment that has multiple significance, we wanted to host here a sign to say 'no' to the violence of women dedicated to one of our fellow citizens who was the victim of a terrible female murder that took place in Genoa but also a great cultural value", said Cavo.
A reflection on female culture, on female sports and also a "webinar through which great personalities to sensitize girls to enroll in scientific faculties and devote themselves to Steam (Science and Technology) materials that will allow them to find a job with adequate salaries; also encourage them to take up those sports they tend to be considered masculine and become aware of artistic and creative qualities, for example songwriting ".
