(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 08 - The weight of women in the so-called listed companies in Italy is increasing but the number of those who reach the command posts remains very small.
According to a study conducted by Consob and Bankitalia, the increase in female presence is significant in the boards of companies for which gender quotas are envisaged: at the end of 2019 it was 39% (from 7% in 2011) in listed companies and 33% (from 17 %) in the publicly controlled company.
The most important positions, however, remain the prevailing prerogative of men.
In listed companies, only 2% of women hold the role of CEO.
