A long-distance bus collided during the early hours of Monday with a car at kilometer 105 of
National Route 9
, near the Buenos Aires town of Lima, and left at least
three dead and two injured
.
As it turned out, a micro collided in the back of the utility vehicle, which was circulating in the direction of Rosario, and caused it to cross into the other lane.
It was then that another long-distance bus, which was heading to Buenos Aires, hit the utility vehicle head-on.
The three deceased were traveling in the van
, while the bus driver and a minor were taken to a hospital in Zárate with multiple injuries.
Witnesses in the area revealed that at the time of the fatal crash, visibility was poor as a result of the fog and the alleged burning of grasslands.
However, it was not yet officially informed.
A major operation was deployed at the site to assist passengers, while circulation was reduced until the vehicles were removed.
