A driver ran over a group of students from the “Albert Einstein” school in Mar del Plata, who were celebrating in the street the so-called

“last first day”

 of secondary school.

So far,

a 17-year-old girl had to be transferred

in a SAME ambulance to the Private Community Hospital, due to a slight trauma to one of her feet. 

The event occurred during the first hours of this Monday in front of the institution located at 3600 Catamarca street, in the central area of ​​the center of the spa city.

The motorist hit a group of young people who were dancing in the street with flags and was delayed by the Police.

The controversial "last first day"

The celebrations for the UPD are multiplied by all the schools in the country, even in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, with students who come together to dance, drink alcohol and dance.

In Mendoza, the Ministry of Security announced that it would apply fines of up to $ 130,000 to the parents of alcoholic minors.

While in San Juan and Córdoba they decided that the Police patrol the streets to avoid this type of festivities.

The celebration encompasses the seniors of high school.

Students often use their social networks to share their experiences, or convene, with the hashtag #UPD.

The celebration consists of staying up all night before the start of what is supposed to be the last day they pass through the beginning of high school classes.

The previous one starts in a home with costumes, drinks and food, continues in a square, from where the parade of students through the streets to school.

The authorities can do little to avoid this type of celebration, so they usually recommend accompanying students so that they do not take risks.
