Shepherd dogs running free have attacked and injured dog owners and their animals on the street in Taucha near Leipzig.
A seriously injured dog had to be put down later, as the Leipzig police announced.
The three Kangal sheepdogs reportedly attacked a 14-year-old while walking her dogs on Sunday afternoon.
The girl's hand was injured and she had to be treated in a clinic.
Her golden retriever and a puppy were also injured.
The golden retriever later had to be euthanized.
A 58-year-old and his Weimeraner were attacked by the same dogs, according to police.
Police separated the kangals from the man and his animal.
The man suffered bite wounds on his hands.
His dog was also badly injured.
The owner of the three shepherd dogs finally caught his animals.
The civil order office in Taucha had the dogs brought to an animal shelter.
The 45-year-old is being investigated on suspicion of negligent bodily harm.
