According to Kuo, Apple's current prototypes of mixed reality headsets weigh between 200 and 300 grams, while the company would like to reach a maximum of 200 grams, replacing most of the plastics with fabric material.
The headset will likely have a starting price of $ 1,000 in the US.
The MR product should host a Sony micro-OLED display and be able to function independently of an iPhone, similar to the Oculus Quest 2, but with a screen capable of showing the surrounding environment, without the user having to remove it. .
Kuo's note is in line with other forecasts, which speak of a viewer that will hit the market in 2022 but at a price close to $ 3,000.
In January, the Bloomberg news agency reported that Apple's intention was to launch a developer version first and only later a consumer version.
