While new restrictions for the departure of tourists are being evaluated, the Ministry of Health reported 7,307 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday and 131 deaths reported in the last 24 hours throughout the country.
With this update, the
number of infected
since the beginning of the pandemic amounts to
2,162,001
, of which 152,158 correspond to active patients and 1,955,591 to people recovered from Covid.
With the 131 deaths registered on the day, the
total number of deaths
from coronavirus is
53,252
.
The list of the
provinces with the most infections
in the last 24 hours, with the accumulated in each jurisdiction since the beginning of the pandemic, is as follows: Province of Buenos Aires (3,146 - 903,099), City of Buenos Aires (877 - 238,016) , Córdoba (699-165,031), Santa Fe (514 - 220,066), Corrientes (246 - 23,624) and Mendoza (204 - 68,559).
With a
hundred or more cases
in the day there are also: Tucumán (192 - 81,147), Entre Ríos (159 - 46,237), Neuquén (156 - 62,579), Río Negro (140 - 53,367), Salta (131 - 27,035), Misiones ( 123 - 9,354) and La Pampa (110 - 19,420).
Less than one hundred new infections
were detected in: Chubut (99 - 47,712), Chaco (98 - 35,280), Catamarca (92 - 8,619), Santa Cruz (68 - 36,825), Jujuy (68 - 21,364), San Juan (64 - 15,676), Santiago del Estero (42 - 23,125), Tierra del Fuego (31 - 23,241), Formosa (28 - 1,420), La Rioja (14 - 10,394) and San Luis (6 - 20,811).
The
occupancy of intensive care beds for
adults is 54.5 percent nationally, with 3,525 hospitalized for coronavirus.
Meanwhile, in the Metropolitan Area it is 60.1 percent.
In the last 24 hours, 42,565 tests were carried out, bringing the total to 7,791,570.
The new part was released hours after it emerged that new restrictions will be imposed on the departure of tourists.
The measure is expected to take effect on Friday, when the decree that establishes preventive and mandatory social distancing is renewed.
"The departure of new tourists to the regions where the virus is circulating will be very strongly restricted," said Daniel Gollan, Minister of Health of the province of Buenos Aires.
