The Higher Education Council agreed to extend the registration period for new public university students for the 2020-2021 academic year to a date no later than 3-18-2021.
In its decision, which SANA received a copy of today, the council requested from universities withholding students' exam results for the first semester of the aforementioned year in the event of non-payment on this date.
According to the decision, the universities conduct the necessary scrutiny regarding allowing these students to sit for the exams before completing the registration procedures and paying the fees with determining responsibility accordingly and taking appropriate measures in accordance with the laws and regulations in force.
On the twenty-fifth of last month, the council extended the registration period until the fifteenth of this month.
