Oyten - Sushi rice is being recalled nationwide due to contamination with pieces of glass.
It is the product “Mìng Chú Sushi-Rice” in the 500 gram pack from Edeka and Marktkauf.

The company Kreyenhop & Kluge in Oyten near Verden (Lower Saxony) has started a recall because of possible contamination by pieces of glass.
"It cannot be ruled out that pieces of glass can be found in individual sushi rice packs," the company said.
The “Mìng Chú” brand sushi rice in the 500g pack is being recalled “for reasons of preventive consumer protection”.
Only the batch with the best before date of October 14, 2022 is affected, the company announced on Tuesday evening.
Articles with different best-before dates are not affected.
Recall: Reimbursement even without a receipt
The product is a private label of the chains Edeka and Marktkauf, where the article was mainly offered nationwide.
As a precautionary measure, the goods in question were withdrawn from sale.
Customers who have bought the product in question can return it to their respective shops for a refund of the purchase price without presenting the receipt.
