(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 09 - Oscar-winning director Gabriele Salvatores will tell the Regions of Italy at Expo2020 Dubai, the great global event starting on October 1st and ending on March 31st.
"I am honored to have been chosen for this task - explained the director in connection in the streaming meeting organized by the Foreign Press to present the Italian Pavilion - which is not simple but full of possibilities, emotions and ideas. The general conception of the Italian pavilion is conceived by Davide RampeIlo (artistic director, ed). My task will be to film the work and know-how of people in various regions and tell them through landscapes, monuments, works of art ".
Italy "is a different country by region, it also changes by moving a little. Italy has always been a bridge above all with the Mediterranean and with the Arab and Middle Eastern world that has nourished our culture. I will work on two different settings depending on the two rooms in the pavilion . In one there will be a technologically very advanced large screen where I will tell the know-how and in the second room there will be a series of screens, an octagon dedicated to the beauty of the regions, which I will tell with advanced filming tools, comedron and 360 degree filming so that feel at the center ".
Expo Dubai "have already joined Emilia Romagna, Marche Lazio, Calabria Basilicata, Puglia, Val d'Aosta, Sicily and Veneto and there are agreements being defined with Piedmont, Abruzzo, Campania Friuli Venezia Giulia - explained Paolo Glisenti, Commissioner for Italy's participation in the Universal Exposition - The deadlines to participate have not expired, other regions that want to join can do so.
