(ANSA) - TUNIS, 09 MAR - The budget of the umpteenth tragedy in the Mediterranean is getting worse.
The Tunisian Ministry of Defense has in fact announced that it had recovered the bodies of 39 people following the sinking of two makeshift boats off the Kerkennah Islands, in the governorate of Sfax, and that it had rescued 165 migrants of various African nationalities.
The search for any survivors is still underway, according to the Tunis dicastery.
The two boats had set sail in the night between Monday and Tuesday from the coasts of Sfax, bound for the European ones.
