"Fifty and vaccinated": The national campaign to encourage vaccination against the Corona virus among those aged 50 plus has been launched.

Are included in the group of recoverers.

In recent days, the Ministry of the Interior has formulated the budget for the campaign, for which NIS 15 million has been allocated at this stage, of which NIS 5 million will be distributed to the local authority to organize the vaccination campaign.

This grant will only be eligible for authorities that receive a balancing grant, in which the non-vaccinated population, as of the start of the operation, is greater than 500 residents or constitutes at least 5% of the total population.

The model also takes into account the size of the PA population.

The organization grant can be used for activities designed to promote the vaccination campaign, and include, among other things, the establishment of a dedicated control center on the subject of vaccines with the Home Front Command, MDA, the HMOs and representatives of the local leadership.

In addition, the budget will be used to transport residents, promote targeted and tailored information, purchase equipment, run local operations to increase the accessibility of vaccines, run volunteers and civil society bodies, produce events, run call centers and conduct surveys.

Each local authority will build a focused plan for its activities to achieve the goal and will work on the issue with the Ministry of the Interior and the Home Front Command.

The remaining NIS 10 million will be allocated to a local government incentive grant in accordance with the achievements.

"I believe in the ability of local authorities to stimulate and encourage their residents to be vaccinated against corona, as they have managed to increase the amount of tests," Minister Deri noted.
