(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 05 - Record numbers for the Call Volunteers of the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai which in just over two weeks involved thousands of female students and university students across the country.
Exactly 7,971 expressions of interest received from students from 78 universities to take part in the curricular internship program "Expo 2020 Dubai - Italian Universities", the result of a collaboration between the Italian Commission for Italy's participation in the Universal Exposition and the CRUI Foundation.
An extraordinary response that involves and unites many young people of 71 nationalities, from all 20 Italian regions, mostly students (69%) and with an average age of 23 years.
This is a unique training opportunity, lasting a maximum of four months, which the selected students will have the opportunity to experience starting from the 1st of October - the starting date of Expo Dubai - at the Italian Pavilion, expanding their knowledge in international scope and contributing to the organization and management of the Italian participation in the most important global event ever organized in the area that includes the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.
Phase 2 of the program will begin on Monday 15 March, at 3.00 pm: the Call for selection will be presented live on the Youtube & Facebook pages of the Italian Pavilion, containing the access requirements, the conditions of participation and the phases of the selection.
All students will then have until 1 April 2021 to submit their final application.
During the meeting, stories and testimonies of other young people who have had training experiences in the Italian Pavilion will alternate.
In addition, some initiatives that the Commissariat will implement to encourage the involvement of all those who responded to the first Call Invitation towards Expo Dubai will be presented.
