Delmenhorst - A sausage product from Aldi Süd is being recalled because of a health hazard.

Affected is the "Fuet Extra - Original Spanish raw sausage with noble mold, air-dried 150g" from the company Könecke Fleischwarenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG from Delmenhorst.

Only the sausage with the best before date 7/7/2021 up to and including 4 April 2021 * will be recalled, as the company writes in its press release.

Könecke Fleischwarenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG has brought the product from Spain onto the market.

The Spanish raw sausage was sold in Aldi Süd branches in parts of Bavaria (in the administrative districts of Upper Bavaria and Swabia) and in parts of North Rhine-Westphalia (in the administrative districts of Düsseldorf and Cologne).

Other company products are not affected by the recall.

The Könecke Fleischwarenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG writes in its announcement: “As part of internal quality controls, indications of salmonella were found.

Consumers who have bought these products are asked not to consume them.

The affected products have already been withdrawn from the sale.

Products that have already been purchased can be returned to the place of purchase for a refund of the purchase price, even without a receipt. ”You should definitely refrain from further consumption - because in the worst case scenario, it can lead to severe fever, inflammation of the intestine or even dehydration *.
