Shira Isakov, who rightly became a national heroine after surviving an assassination attempt by her husband, was photographed last night for a gala evening that opens "Tornit Fashion Week Tel Aviv 2021" and will be broadcast on Passover on television on network 13. Isakov walked the runway in a strapless white chiffon dress combined with a print Mobility, designed by designer Vivi Blaisch, as part of a salute display and a tribute to her and the strapless dress that was not allowed to be worn by her husband.
Iscove was joined and marched on the runway by quite a few leading women, all in strapless dresses specially designed by a variety of fashion designers in Israel.
In the marches: Geula Even in a dress by Maya Negri, Lehi Lapid in a dress by Elian Stolro, Gila Almagor in a dress by Ariel Toledano, Rita in a dress by Dror Contento, and many more.
All strapless dresses that will be displayed on the runway after the gala evening broadcast will be offered for sale in a boutique of a female spirit association, and all proceeds will be for the benefit of the association, which works for economic independence for women affected by violence.
"When Mutti Rife said the project was for a female spirit, I knew it was important - and I replied that I was inside," Shira said.
"The case of Shira sent chills through me," says Moti Reif, entrepreneur and producer of Fashion Week.
"When I heard in the moving interview that she had a strapless dress that she loved very much, and her husband threw it in the trash, I decided that the fashion week gala evening would feature 15 strong and leading women, who would march in strapless dresses and strengthen her and all women who suffer violence."
