The Ministry of Health agreed to discontinue the GSS, only after the daily number of infections falls below 1,000, or when the scope of locating patients by the GSS drops below 5% for three weeks.

Estimates are that this is expected to happen in about three weeks, then the placements will be stopped completely.
Placements will be performed starting Saturday on a limited basis, only for corona patients defined as "evading" epidemiological investigations.
The decision was made in the Ministerial Committee on GSS Affairs, in accordance with the High Court ruling, according to which the placements will only apply to those who do not cooperate in an epidemiological investigation.
The committee determined that those who reported zero contacts, or were verified that it was not possible to contact them or conduct an epidemiological investigation, would be accommodated.
The committee's chairman, Minister Eli Cohen: "The decision to selectively use the GSS tool is due to the human epidemiological investigation system, the vaccination campaign and the declining trend in the GSS tool. "More than 98,000 new patients, 2,000 patients in critical condition and 750 deaths."
